Complete YouTube Ads Strategy to Grow Your Channel ($43K Spent)

Complete YouTube Ads Strategy to Grow Your Channel ($43K Spent)

Over the past couple of years, we spent over $43,000 on YouTube ads. Now, if you've ever tried advertising on YouTube, then you know that they usually result in very low engagement and very low watch times. Basically, everything the YouTube algorithm hates and a surefire way not to grow your channel. But ads don't have to result in low-engagement views. After spending countless hours and thousands of dollars, we've finally come up with an effective strategy that leads to everything YouTube loves.

High watch times and engaged subscribers, which ultimately leads to channel growth. And the best part is that it'll only cost around $5 per day. So if you want to learn how to use this YouTube ads to grow your YouTube channel and business, then stay tuned. If you're a beginner to YouTube ads, there are two main types of ads you can create.

Discovery ads, which are the ones that show in YouTube search, suggested, and on Google's display network.

And then there's in-stream ads, which are the ones that play before or during a video you're watching. Now, the strategy that we'll be talking about is just for discovery ads. And that's because in-stream ads are more for brand awareness and lead generation. Now, the reason why this strategy excites the heck out of me is because these are what typical YouTube discovery campaigns look like. Tons of views, for pennies on the dollar with an extremely small percentage of viewers actually sticking around to watch.

And if we look at the stats for this video, these views resulted in an average view duration of 56 seconds on a nearly 20-minute video.

And the separation between organic vs. paid views is just sad. Compare that to our YouTube search views, and you'll see that our average view duration was nearly 9 minutes, and suggested was around 5 and a half. So our goal was plain and simple.

Get highly engaged views for pennies on the dollar. Fast forward one year of testing and you'll see that most paid views we get have a similar audience retention rate and average view durations as organic views. Now, let's look at the data on a few of our English ad campaigns from 2020. So in 2020, we spent just under 2,700 Singapore dollars, which is around $2,000 US dollars at today's currency exchange rate. From the two grand, we got just under 30,000 paid views or roughly $0.

07 per view. Not bad. But there's so much more. 544 people liked at least one of our videos, 994 people added one of these videos to a playlist, 577 people subscribed to our channel, and get this… 9,999 people watched at least one other video on our channel - free. To top it off, over 45% of views watched at least 25% of our videos.

And our videos aren't exactly short. Meaning, we paid $0.05 for one engaged view, which is just crazy! Now, if you're thinking, well, views are views and they mean nothing. Then wait until you hear this.

For the seven videos we were advertising, there was a total of 2,514.8 hours watched. That means, we paid 2 cents per minute of watch time where our content showcases how our products work to solve the viewers' problems. It gets me every time but that's crazy. Now, YouTubers often chase subscribers, likes, and views.

But these are all vanity metrics if no one is actually consuming your content. YouTube is an attention platform. And while you can pay for clicks, you can't force them to keep watching. Bottom line: views mean nothing if people aren't watching, engaging, and ultimately doing something that leads to a profitable action. Unless of course you make money through YouTube ads or your goal is brand awareness.

Now, before we get into the ad strategy, it's important that you understand a few key metrics in YouTube ads that will validate or invalidate whether the strategy is working for you or not.

So let's define what an engaged view is. For me, an engaged paid view is one where the average view duration will be similar to an organic view. After all, if people aren't watching your videos, then they're not going to like your videos, subscribe, watch other videos, or buy your products. Now, beyond average view duration, Google's ad platform shows you a category of metrics called "earned actions." And these include things like earned likes, playlist add-ons, shares, subscribers, and views. And an earned action is counted when someone performs one of these actions within seven days of viewing your ad.

For example, if Sally clicks on our video ad, then watches another video on our channel three days later, and then subscribes, then that's an earned view and an earned subscriber. Now, because our goal is to get engaged views, "earned views" paired with overall high retention was the #1 KPI I used to measure and modify our ads strategy. So the last thing we need to talk about before we get into the strategy are the targeting options available in YouTube ads.

I promise, I'm not trying to delay getting to the strategy, but you need to understand all of these things in order to execute successfully.

Alright, so with YouTube ads, there are three main targeting options: keywords, audiences, and placements. Keyword targeting works in the same way as Google ads. You enter a list of keywords and when someone searches for that word or phrase, your ads can be shown. Audience targeting is based on what Google thinks people are interested in.

So that can be anything from SEO services, to advertising and marketing etc. You can also target custom audiences like your subscribers, people who watched a video in the last 30 days, or even your website visitors. And finally are placement ads. This is when you choose specific videos and/or channels where you want your ads to appear. Alright, now let's talk about how this strategy works at a high level.

This entire YouTube advertising strategy is based around intent targeting.

Meaning, you only show your ads to people who are showing interest in your video's topic right then and there. Which is why the two targeting methods we use for this strategy are keywords and placements. Let me show an example of why these two targeting methods work for engaged views and audience targeting doesn't. And we've tested this a lot.

So let's say Google knows that you're interested in golf. But it's 11am and you're at work researching videos about search engine optimization. They got the interest right, but they got the timing wrong. As a result, you might click on the golf video ad, but you don't have time to watch it or consume the creator's content. So you bounce and they likely wasted some money Now rewind.

If you're watching the same video on SEO and you see a suggestion in the sidebar for a complementary video to the one you're watching, then you might click it, watch it, watch other videos on that channel, and subscribe.

The time and place is right. This is possible with placement targeting. Now, keyword targeting is the easiest way to match the intent of the viewer. They're literally searching for what they want to see, and you're just paying for one of the top spots in the search results.

For example, if you search for something in YouTube like "affiliate marketing," and you see this guy holding some Amazon plaque, yea...you might be interested in watching. Why?

Because the ad is meeting you in the right place at the right time. In fact, this video is a tutorial on affiliate marketing for beginners. And so are the rest of the organic results. Now, this might all seem simple, and it really is, but you need two things in order to get great results from this strategy. First, you need a video that has a high audience retention rate or average view duration, whichever serves your needs best.

Complete YouTube Ads Strategy to Grow Your Channel ($43K Spent)

Because there is no magic trick that'll get people to watch your videos for a good amount of time if it sucks. So to find potential videos worth advertising, log in to your YouTube analytics and look at the video tab.

Make sure you've added the "Average percentage viewed" and "Average view duration" columns to the table. Then, export your list into Google Sheets. From here, you can sort the table by average percentage viewed or average view duration to find your best performing videos.

Now, an additional thing I recommend doing is to set a filter on the number of views. The more views the video has, the more reliable your data will be. And second, there needs to be either a) search demand around that video's topic, or b) other similar or complementary videos that are getting a good number of views at the time of advertising.

To find average search volumes, you can use a keyword research tool like Ahrefs Keywords Explorer. Just set the tab to "YouTube" and enter a search query.

And as you can see, there are around 10,000 monthly searches in the US and 98,000 globally for the query "digital marketing." And to further expand your list of keyword ideas, hit the Phrase match report. From here, you can skim through the list and add additional keywords to your YouTube ads campaign if it's relevant to your video. Now, if you want to run placement ads, then search volume doesn't directly help because videos that get a ton of views are usually from other traffic sources like browse features and Suggested.

So you need to find videos that get a lot of views - ideally, on a consistent basis.

And the best way to find these videos is to use VidIQ's VPH metric, which stands for "views per hour." There are a few places you can find videos with high view velocity. First is in YouTube's search results. With the VidIQ extension installed, search for a query related to your topic. So let's say we're creating a makeup tutorial for beginners.

Now, if we scroll down a bit, you should see a section called "Trending videos for this search term." Here, you'll see popular videos, the number of views they have, and the video's VPH. Again, because our ads strategy is based on intent targeting, you want to focus on relevant videos. So before adding one of these videos to your placements list, you need to ask yourself If someone was watching one of these videos, would they want to watch my video on If the answer is yes, and the video has a high VPH, then you have a good chance at getting a ton of impressions and hopefully engaged views.

Another place to look for placement videos is by checking the top-ranking videos VPH metric. Just click on one of the videos, and you'll see the views per hour metric in the sidebar. You can also click on the historical icon to see that video's views and views per hour over time. Finally, look at relevant and popular YouTube channels' trending videos. So if we look at this channel, and go to the Trending tab, you'll see some of their top videos based on view velocity.

Now, one thing I want to note here is to look at the date the videos were published. As you can see, this one was published around a year ago, yet it's VPH is still quite high. So by running placements ads on this video, you should be able to get a consistent number of impressions from your ads.

Now, it's important to note that placement ads only work on videos that are monetized, but from my experience, there's no point in checking if it's actually monetized before adding it to your campaign. Basically, if it's not, your ad won't run.

Now, in terms of what a good VPH number is, this will vary from niche to niche. Makeup is obviously a much more popular topic on YouTube than SEO. So as you research videos, you'll get a better idea of what makes sense for your niche. Alright, the final things you should know about are some campaign settings worth considering. So for our YouTube search ads, we've set the network to just YouTube search results.

Whereas for our placement ads, we've set it to just YouTube videos. And these are created as separate campaigns. Now, one thing you probably noticed is that we've opted out of advertising on Google's Display Networks. Reason being, the engagement metrics were pretty garbage to say the least so it wasn't exactly fulfilling our goals.

Now, as for demographic targeting, like age and gender, we're targeting people that are like our other YouTube subscribers.

And the way you can find this information is to use Google's Audience Insights tool. So go to Tools & Settings, Shared Library, and then Audience Manager. Next, click on the + button and select YouTube users. Now, the important part here is to select the Subscribed to a channel option. Now, after you've created your list and Google has populated the numbers in the table, you can head on over to the Audience insights tool.

Then select your audience from the dropdown and you'll see information on gender, age, and parental status to name a few. Now, if you don't have subscribers, this obviously won't work for you.

But you can do this with web traffic as well if you have Google's Pixel on your site. Now, to prove that this strategy doesn't just work for established channels, we've been testing it on our translated channels too. If we look at our Spanish channel's analytics, you'll see that both the subscriber growth, and number of views are going up and to the right - just as a typical organic channel would.

Also, because we're satisfying YouTube with all of the right things like solid real engagement, in-video optimizations, and on-page optimizations, you'll see that our YouTube search traffic is now starting to grow month over month.

More importantly, we're reaching new audiences who are choosing to subscribe because they actually like the content they're watching. Now, while this strategy works really well to get engaged views and real subscribers who actually care about your content, a major downside is that it's not very scalable - at least in low-volume niches like SEO. They're great to use for evergreen type campaigns as we have, but if you want to reach larger audiences specifically with ads, you have to go with audience targeting or use in-stream ads.

And we're experimenting with both of these types of ads and we'll share our learnings and results on our channel as we refine the process.

So if you enjoyed the video, then make sure to like, share, and subscribe for more marketing tutorials like this one. And if you have a question or want us to test some marketing strategies, let me know in the comments below. I'll see you in the next tutorial..

Top 6 Metaverse Altcoins w/ HUGE POTENTIAL in June 2022!! (Play to Earn Crypto Games)

Top 6 Metaverse Altcoins w/ HUGE POTENTIAL in June 2022!! (Play to Earn Crypto Games)

Yes welcome back everybody to altcoin daily my name's austin in today's video i want to highlight six different metaverse gameplay projects that are undervalued in this market and by the way this has nothing to do with price investing in cryptocurrency.

Is very risky never invest more than you're willing to lose but what this is about is highlighting the projects that are building that are making progress in this down market we'll look at some high caps as well as some low caps so like always check the time stamps down below and let's jump in starting with one of the major high caps in this space that's still implementing the sandbox ladies and gentlemen elvis presley has left the building.

And entered the sandbox so just as a reminder the sandbox is a virtual gaming world where players can build own and monetize their gaming experiences and one of the big things that has always differentiated sandbox from other metaverses in this space is the ip slash the partnerships that are choosing to integrate with them king of rock elvis presley enters the metaverse with the sandbox additionally 1935 elvis genesis key nfts will be released to commemorate his birthday very cool that is a huge audience.

That elvis brings and as you know elvis is certainly not the only musician galvanizing his audience doggies meaning snoop dogg avatars listen up we've got a special event lined up for y'all 250 000 sand pot for all doggies nft holders jump into the sandbox game and play different experiences each week and of course with this you can earn sand with your snoop dogg avatar again this is just another of many many examples of different celebs choosing them and finally the sandbox.

Is very customizable meaning you can be whoever you want to be choose an avatar that represents you the sandbox is open to everyone so cool to see the progress let's keep moving coin number five on today's list and our last high cap before we get to some low caps axia infiniti's axi token rallies 19 percent amid builder program launch so sky mavis the indie studio behind the axe infiniti play to earn game has announced the first 12 projects joining its builders program.

And obviously on this news the token went crazy now just as a reminder what is axe infinity axe infinity is a blockchain based game in which players purchase nfts of pokemon-like monsters to pit them against each other in battles players can earn a second token called smooth love potion slp during the gameplay and trade them for money.

At an exchange so half play to earn half metaverse ie gamefi and as of today the first batch of projects have been accepted into their builders program the program will introduce user generated content into the axi ecosystem here was the exact tweet from axi themselves your axe the nfts are a ticket to an infinite realm of experiences today we take a major step towards making this a tangible reality we're ecstatic to present the first 12 projects.

That we've accepted into the axi builders program and the final thing i do want to share with you on this just some of the incentives for people building through this program among a host of incentives the chosen teams will receive a minimum ten thousand dollar grant in axi tokens to fund their projects exclusive access to tech integrations such as ronin single sign-on and drone and wallet transactions that's their side chain as well as guidance from axi infiniti's engineering game design and product teams additionally.

The projects will be able to monetize their game using the crypto games brand meaning axis brand with a revenue share model so give me your thoughts on this cool to see the building on axi and next up sponsor of the channel gaia everworld legionnaires get ready we are one step closer to battle mode release who wants to see some gameplay footage this week so i will show you some of this gameplay in a minute but first off just as a reminder what is gaia everworld again polygon based multi-region fantasy game guy everworld closes a 3.7 million dollar seed round this was of course from last year and gaia everworld.

Is an immersive multi-region fantasy world where players are able to build their own kingdoms whether you're fighting it out in player versus player battle mode adventuring across the diverse and mysterious expanse of the everworld and mmorpg or exploring and conquering mythical kingdoms in the player versus environment legion mode players will be able to experience engaging entertaining and interactive gameplay while also earning tokenized rewards.

In the process so that is gaia in a nutshell and as i said they did have major backing for many notable investors investors and partners include polygon obviously a huge one au 21 capital mech c global shima capital engine starter and many more now of course the news today and one of the major events that did just happen is their land sale and people have started to build whether that is houses i.e buildings farming supplies plants and more let's check out their land slash gaia world metaverse map and see all the building zooming out so we can see.

The building you do see some of the avatars in there of people customizing the property i believe but this is a wide view of the map and we can see bigger plots and smaller plots the plots come in anywhere from one to one to 24 to 24.

Top 6 Metaverse Altcoins w/ HUGE POTENTIAL in June 2022!! (Play to Earn Crypto Games)

So this is their map a nice overview they also have their marketplace where you can trade nfts trade land plots etc and of course their game and by the way they do have a few different options based on what you like for example they have adventure mode a full-blown mmorpg adventure game plan to go live in late 2023 but what's in the works for this year is their play to earn player versus player battle game.

I always like to bring you the visuals so here's a short snippet of the gameplay watch this wow would you play something like that let me know gaia everworld much lower cap on the polygon blockchain making our list today next up making huge news as of late even though yes this one's more of an nft project but goblin town is a 37 million nft collection that nobody can explain so this one is more of a fun one i have no clue where these goblins will be in a year but goblin town is so outrageous yet so successful.

As of late i have to share some details by the way some of the founders of this project hosted a about three hour twitter spaces and this was the twitter space listen to this outrageous and you would think hey this probably means the project's garbage but for some reason the project is catching on and by the way i don't own any goblins which.

I wish i did but here are the specifics the hosts were the anonymous creators of goblin town.wtf a collection of ten thousand nfts that have become an unprecedented success since launching on may 19th each nft features a grotesque goblin to be used as a profile picture on twitter discord instagram each with different attributes and accessories and by the way something i like which most projects don't do but goblin town did goblin town was a free mint meaning those who caught the public sale public sale only had to pay the transaction fee and in the 12 days since the launch goblin town's entry price went from zero to now a floor of six ethereum these goblins being the most expensive.

In the collection but let's keep going and talk about maybe why this project caught on so quickly because they are making fun of the crypto space in a big way it turns out that goblin town is a term to describe a crypto bear market apparently taken from a song in the novel the hobbit and several goblins in the collection actually have traits that mock nft culture for example many goblins have tattoos of the luna cryptocurrency.

That crashed in early may i guess much like mike novogratz while other goblins are direct references or have direct references to kevin the mascot that embodied the pixelmon nft collection flop i guess a project that failed now give me your thoughts on this i'm not saying this project has value long term but what.

I am saying is they seem to have value now and whether you believe in the long-term outlook of goblin town wtf or not what they've managed to do is make people smile during a downtime in crypto to me that's what community is really all about now whenever stories like this pop up our channel will keep.

You updated but let's keep moving and next up second from last altcoin on today's list is realm which is a mobile first play to earn social impact driven metaverse they started building last year and they are focusing on mobile like right here many.

Of you saw this footage last year on this channel of just how they're building augmented and virtual and the metaverse reality in our phones and i do think that was a little strategic because so many more people in the world have cell phones and have mobile devices versus laptops and computers so many of you have already seen that you watch that let's delve deeper into what's happening today.

And really focus on their play to earn potential as well as how are they a socially driven metaverse well first off they're play to earn but they're also play to own we value every second that you play and rewards you with ownership of realm so you import your avatar you can also bring in your other nfts as you saw in that footage somebody brought in their cryptokitty you start playing for free so it's free for everybody and then you earn realm tokens for participating.

I like it but then how are they socially impactful bridging reality your actions in our virtual world are designed to make the real world a better place become a force for good in the world by playing fun games on your phone and connecting to causes that you care about for example plant a tree in realm and will plant a tree in reality clean plastic and realm choose the volunteer and we will clean up plastic in the oceans plant corals in realm and we will restore coral habitats in real life i think that's cool and while currently they're in private alpha their public beta is dropping soon we've been stress testing the realm app with multiple devices and many users in preparation for launch one of our latest accomplishments was getting our avatars.

To load eighty percent more effectively so the building is happening and last but not least a metaverse slash gamefi project to put on your radar is alluvium we are excited to announce our integration with immutable the leading layer 2 ethereum scaling solution for nfts what is elluvium in a nutshell well it's a game studio launching play and earn nft games in the blockchain metaverse fight for eth hunt capture fight earn now this one also has a lot of notable backers and to me sort of the secret sauce.

In all this is one of their heavily respected founders in the defy space kane warwick's sibling revealed as the founder of eluvium kane is the founder of d5 protocol synthetics a blue chip in space and kane i think last year revealed his brothers aaron and kieran warwick are the founders of eluvium the project is an exciting new blockchain based game so far has gained huge industry support because of these founders and their pretty damn solid reputation in the defy space in fact i want to share with you a very short clip of kieran talking about the potential of eluvium build your own business.

With elluvium's land sale imagine getting a piece of revenue in perpetuity for the rest of the time that ip was used you're going to be able to create essentially your own business out of it you buy this plot of land you start building up these structures and using your your world warcraft blizzard example people are still playing that right like people are still playing counter-strike.

And and all these old games imagine if you owned a piece of world of warcraft or even go back as far as warcraft right like let's say you you own a piece of warcraft.

That meant that you got a piece of revenue in perpetuity for for the rest of the time that that ip was used that's sort of what we're creating here all right give me your thoughts on this by the way don't forget to like the video and feel free to let me know which crypto project in today's video stuck out to you the most also if i missed a project let me know down below i will be checking the comments but like always see you tomorrow.

Passive Income: 5.5 UNIQUE IDEAS TO MAKE $500 PER DAY!

Passive Income: 5.5 UNIQUE IDEAS TO MAKE $500 PER DAY!

How can you sit on a beach sipping a cocktail all the while money is rolling into your bank account well it turns out this is actually possible with something called income passive income passive income passive income but when millions of people are chasing the same dream things aren't going to be easy essentially i'm broke i don't have any money.

left i filed bankruptcy that's why i've done some digging and compiled a list of 5.5 unique passive income ideas let's talk about them hi guys it's mark it's no surprise people love the idea of not working for money but if that was the reality then we'd all be passive income millionaires although passive income doesn't exist leveraged income does this is by far the most effective way to earn money long term and has enabled me to become a millionaire however it also involves various risks upfront investments of time and money and plenty of good old-fashioned.

Work only highly motivated people will succeed at creating leveraged income as you first need to take a large upfront risk in terms of time and or money this is so that in the future you're able to earn more than others could only dream of leveraged income is money.

You get for creating value and value comes from solving a problem people have the best problems to solve are the ones that aren't already flooded with lots of people offering the same solution this is known as finding blue oceans as red ones are full of people tearing each other apart competing for the same income that's why i've made this list of 5.5 unique ideas so you have a much higher chance of success idea number one is spotify playlist this is one on the risk scale and two on effort level i haven't actually seen anyone mention this idea in any other passive income video.

So we're starting off strong but what am i talking about well the other day i was just flicking through instagram stories and i got an ad for a playlist i thought the music sounded perfect for focused work so i clicked on it and downloaded the playlist on spotify i then thought nothing more of it and went on with my day as normal fast forward to the next day and i was getting bombarded with different spotify playlist ads this is probably because i interacted with the first ad and now the floodgates were open however i then realized the ads weren't being run by spotify themselves it was all individual people.

So that got me thinking if people are prepared to spend money running ads then they must be making a profit from owning these playlists so i did a bit of digging and it turns out i was correct this is a great way to make leveraged income especially if you don't have a lot of money to begin with you just need to spend time putting together.

A solid playlist in a specific genre gain followers and figure out a way to make money from it there seems to be two main ways of doing this i prefer the second but you may think differently the first way is to charge up and coming artists a fee fifa getting featured on your playlist when new artists are trying to break into the scene they're interested in one main thing spotify streams this is why an engaged playlist is so powerful as once you've built it you can supply that artist with a predictable amount of monthly streams and charge accordingly.

You can even have a different pricing structure depending on how close to the top you place their song this is certainly achievable and i could see you making thousands a month doing it however here are the issues it's against spotify's terms of service and not very passive as you have to be in contact with the artist to sell song placements the second way is to start a patreon an artist can sign up to a monthly membership in return for the chance to submit their music.

To your playlist this is a lot more passive as the money would be coming in automatically on a monthly basis and all you have to do is review music and update the playlist you could easily charge five dollars a month and if you get 1 000 artists signed up you could be making 5 000 per month this way also feels less dishonest as you can actually pick songs you enjoy rather than taking money to put bad music on your playlist.

The best thing of all is that you can replicate the process as many times as you like and build playlists in lots of different genres idea number two is getting free crypto you can do this every time you trade 10 or more on the ftx app no i'm only kidding but i'm not joking about and giving you free crypto they're actually doing this when you use the link below idea number two is actually called merch by amazon this is one on the risk scout and three on effort level one of my friends is a reasonable digital artist and has been working on many different designs for years he thought a good way to turn those designs into profit would be to sell printed t-shirts.

So he had thousands printed but unfortunately none of them sold this was until he took a trip to germany and displayed his t-shirts at an event one of the designs started selling like crazy unfortunately he only had a limited supply available and was unable to meet the demand as he had already invested all his money into the stock that wasn't selling if only he'd known about merch by amazon as he would have saved money.

Up front and tested the market a lot faster merch by amazon is an on-demand t-shirt printing service it allows sellers to create and list t-shirt designs on amazon for free there are no upfront costs and you get paid royalties when a customer buys your shirt all you need to do is upload your designs choose the colors and set a price then amazon will take care of the rest just think about it go in a traditional route means that if you have one design and you want to sell that in three colors and four sizes to men and women that's 24 shirts.

If you only do one of each if 24 customers call you and or want a large male t-shirt in blue you can only sell one merch by amazon takes care of this for you and also saves you from having to go to shows and exhibitions to find a market as amazon already has a huge one established like anything the more effort you put in researching customer demand the better you'll do just remember to avoid any copyrighted content this means you can't just start printing t-shirts like this without getting permission from disney storm pooper idea number three is vending machines.

This is five on the risk scout and four on effort level so this idea is clearly a lot harder than the first two however selector is one of the biggest vending machine companies in the world and they reported sales of over 1 billion in 2021 which was up 3 percent on 2020.

Passive Income: 5.5 UNIQUE IDEAS TO MAKE $500 PER DAY!

This shows that the market is growing and the potential is huge before i had my own businesses i worked as a carpenter's apprentice and can still remember clearly the old vending machine in the workshop it cost me 10 cents for a cup of coffee a bargain it was such a good price that the machine was actually losing my boss money.

So he had a bit of a predicament on his hands the income wasn't high enough to cover maintenance costs the machine took time to refill and he couldn't raise the prices as the machine was so old and no one would have paid the extra he was considering not having a vending machine but he knew it was important for us to have hot drinks nearby.

That's when a young guy he couldn't be much older than me walked into the warehouse and offered my boss a deal he just couldn't turn down he offered to install three new vending machines in the workshop and promised to take care of all maintenance issues and restocking as well as giving him a 15 cut of the revenue so not only could my boss please his staff he would also make a nice profit the new machines were a hit and could justify charge in higher prices because of the better quality the guy who installed the machines later revealed that we were his first customers and now he has a huge business with machines throughout the state all paying him passive income.

The key to a successful vending machine income is to find great locations once you've identified a few different spots and agreed a deal with the owner you can then secure a machine that fits the customer's needs there are lots of used vending machines going for low prices online which would be ideal if you're just starting out you could even get a loan and spread the payments using the profits when picking things to put into the machines.

It's a good idea to think about the demand in a specific location and slowly test out different ideas until you have the perfect mix after this it's just a case of hiring staff and expanding your empire so you're able to be as hands-off as possible idea number four is sas this is five on the risk scale and five on effort level sas stands for software as a service.

The beauty of this idea is that they often use a subscription-based pricing model so instead of a customer paying once for your software they pay on an ongoing basis this can be monthly or annually this is great as it gives you a predictable leveraged income each and every month and the opportunity for explosive non-linear growth my best friend decided to go down the sas route at the exact time.

I started selling physical products he specialized in software that handled data for large membership organizations these clients would have a hundred thousand plus members so keeping track of all that data was an issue for them at first he decided to sell his software.

As a one-time purchase however he always had to search for new customers when he made the switch to a subscription-based model he increased his average customer lifetime value and secured reliable leveraged income he later went on to sell this business for multiple millions in order to achieve success like this you first need to pick the people your software.

Is going to serve there are two main categories businesses or consumers serving other businesses is often seen as the least risky as you can make more money per client than if you're selling to everyday people once you've got that nailed down you need to develop a solution for a problem in my friend's case.

It was membership organizations getting overwhelmed by their own data everything up until this point has been built upon assumptions so this is when you need to put those to the test and build a minimum viable product also known.

As an mvp with this you'll be able to conduct market research and explore different pricing models all the while you're establishing your brand now comes a hard question how do you actually finance this thing well if your solution is good enough then funding really won't be an issue angel investors love sas startups so you could pitch for an investment or you could use your own resources to fund the company this.

Is known as bootstrapping idea number five is digital downloads this is one on the risk scale and four on effort level the internet is definitely the place to make lots of money as its growth has been exponential in 2020 there were 305 000 online businesses created compared to only 13 000 in 2019 with all these people starting online businesses you may think the competition is going to be sky high and yes it's harder now however.

I think there is a huge gap in the market for digital products just think about it everyone is talking about e-commerce and drop shipping but far less are actually selling quality digital products which have the benefit of never running out of stock and no shipping costs as it's all done via the internet a friend of mine created a digital template system you can use on instagram just off the back of a problem sent in by one of her followers.

Who wanted to stand out within a couple of hours and no more than a hundred dollars the templates were designed and she now sells thousands of dollars worth every week this all came from helping another person with their problem and she thought that if this person needs these templates.

Then others would too if instagram templates aren't for you then you can make youtube banners sell stock footage ebooks games email templates or even online courses idea number 5.5 is investments this is variable on the risk out and a one on effort level now i hold my hands up this isn't exactly unique but i couldn't leave it out it's the truest form of passive income you will ever get i've been investing in different assets for years such as stocks crypto and real estate i like to see this as a way of really multiplying my money.

I don't go for crazy profits as that can often lead to people losing everything a good example of this is when luna cryptocoin collapsed as soon as you can make sure to open up a tax advantage account this is a stocks and shares isa in the uk and a roth ira in the usa your aim should be to max out the amount of money you're able to contribute as the gains are completely tax-free a good thing to remember is to be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful i know it's a cliche saying but it's so true if you're wondering where to invest in public.com.

Are a great option and they're giving away a free stock slice worth between three and a thousand dollars when you sign up and fund your account with the link in the description now.

I need to address something extremely important people will try and tell you you need more than one passive income stream which has some truth to it however most people misunderstand what this actually means the mistake i see people making over and over again is taking their time off an idea that's working and splitting their attention by trying something else you'll never get anywhere.

If you're one foot in and one foot out however i do agree with creating multiple income streams within the same idea because as you progress you'll find even more ways to profit from providing value to your customers so i'm going to leave the next video right up there but don't click on it just yet make sure to subscribe if you want to grow your wealth okay then i'll see you over there.

12 COMMANDMENTS FOR PARENTS

12 commandments for parents

In a child’s education an important factor is the parents’ expertise for this “job”. No one is born holding all the knowledge, but we can learn and understand some things from books or advice from qualified persons.

Amongst the commandments a parent should strictly follow are the following:

- Do not underestimate your child – he can understand more than you think he does and if you make him believe you think poorly of him this might affect his development.

- Don’t use threat – a child loves a challenge and once threatened he might probably go on and do what he wasn’t suppose to just to see if he can escape the punishment.

- Do not bribe your child – if you are trying to get him to learn for money for example, he will fail to understand the importance of learning, all he will get from this is the importance of money.

- Do not make a small child promise something – small children can’t hold promises so don’t force them to lie and then punish them because they did that.

- Do not keep them under a short leash – to grow up normally children need some space, some freedom.

- Do not use big words or too many words when you are talking to your child – keep your ideas simple and concise so he can understand every thing you have to say.

- Do not expect an immediate and blind obedience – it is not recommended, the child has to be learned to think for his own not to follow orders.

- Do not indulge him too mush – he can develop compartmental disorders.

- Do not compromise when it comes to the rules of a game – the trick for a game to become educative is too have its initial rules respected.

- Don’t impose rules that don’t go with the age of your child.

- Do not try to inflict quilt – quilt is not an appropriate feeling for children, especially if they are little.

- Don’t give your child orders that you don’t take seriously – your child will try to please you and giving him an order is drastic, and it becomes cruel if that order is a joke.

All these “commandments” are addressed first to the parent. But they are to be referred to by teachers and educators as well. Along with the parents, they will settle upon an attitude and strategy for the education and growth of the child, so that they can give him all the things he needs to properly develop emotional and physically.

How to Run Facebook Ads for Local Businesses: Driving Foot Traffic

How to Run Facebook Ads for Local Businesses: Driving Foot Traffic

- After watching this tutorial, you can be equipped with the skills and confidence needed to generate more awareness and more walk-ins for your local business using Facebook ads. My name is Paul Ramondo, and I'm here to run you through Facebook ad tutorial for your local business so you can generate more awareness and more foot traffic using Facebook ads. Make sure you stick around to the end cause it's gonna be a bonus tip, regarding exclusion targeting for specific geographic areas that not many advertisers know about. So, for today's example, we're gonna be using a fictional restaurant called Paul's Restaurant. Paul's Restaurant is facing a hypothetical dilemma right now.

They do weekend bookings: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday even. But on Tuesday nights, they hardly get anyone in, it's pretty slow night of the week. We wanna target people in the local geographic radius around Paul's Restaurant, with some kind of value incentive offer to get people to come in at the slowest time of the week, on Tuesday nights.

Now even though this is a fictional restaurant and a fictional ad that we're creating today, it's important to remember that these same principles will apply to whatever local business you're running. Let's hop in, here we are in Ads Manager.

And what we wanna do is just go ahead and create a new campaign. So we hit that green Create button there. We'll give it a name, Paul's Restaurant a Tuesday Promo. Alright, and now what we wanna do is go down to campaign objective, and click on store traffic. If you haven't set up your business as a local Facebook page, then you're not gonna have the option of being able to run a store traffic campaign objective.

You're not gonna be able to run Get Directions call to action ads, and it also means that you're gonna have bit more trouble getting the results in which you're trying to achieve. And then we wanna go and select our Facebook Page. I always recommend starting with a low daily budget. So we're gonna go ahead and just change this to $5. For the ad set name, I like to make it related to the audience so let's go, "People within five miles." And then the ad name is gonna be based on what the creative inside that ad is. We're gonna be using, Entree Special Promo. So that way, when you hop into your campaign, you can see, "Okay cool, the campaign name is Tuesday Promo. The ad set name is Targeting People within five miles. And the ad name specifically is Entree Special Promo.

Okay, so we gonna go ahead and hit save to draft.

Now we're gonna go through to the Ad Set and open that up. Click Edit. We wanna go through and choose our Store Page here and then we've got a store set. It's very, very important that we have your local ads set up correctly from your business manager and from your Facebook Page before you hop in and run these ads.

When you do it correctly, you are able to then choose all of the stores and their respective locations. So let's just choose this store, for example. And now what we wanna do, is go down and finish building out our targeting. So 22 to 35, and we're basically targeting an area around the store set. Let's say that you don't already have a local store set set up inside of Facebook.

What you can do instead, is go down to here and target a geographical area instead. So this is now targeting Australia. I've gotten the actual physical location of the geographic area which I wanna target in Western Australia. I'm gonna go through in here. Now, you'll see that it's put a radius around that address's store.

Now you can change this targeting from anywhere between one mile up to 50 miles. If ours run too wide over targeting five miles, its gonna be very ineffective. So, I wanna make this as small as possible. Let's move that down to one mile.

You can see that a potential reach is 27,000 people.

I wanna change this to Manual Placements. This is gonna be a time sensitive offer, that we wanna run during our least profitable time. I wanna run this on Tuesdays and I wanna run it to people that are on their mobile phones in the geographic area of our targeting, recently, within that time frame.

If I was to put say, someone's laptop as a placement or newsfeed on desktop as a placement, probably not gonna be as effective as targeting people on their mobile devices. I'm gonna go down to all devices recommended.

Unclick desktop. Now, it's only gonna show up Facebook News Feed, Instagram Feed, Marketplace and Stories. For the purposes of this tutorial, I'm gonna be ignoring Stories as a placement. But if you'd like to learn the best tips, tricks, hacks and how to use with regards to running Instagram ads stories, go ahead and click the link above. Now you can choose to run your ads to people living in or recently in the location, people who just live in the location, people recently in the location, or people traveling in the location.

I'm gonna be choosing people that are recently in this location. So the last thing we need to do, is set up the budget and schedule for our campaigns. Now, Facebook is always constantly adding and removing features. In a perfect world, I'd be able to add a budget and schedule for this in this area of the Ad Set, and only run it on Tuesdays, from say 11 am through to 6 pm.

If you have the ability to customize your delivery, please do it.

However, for the purposes of this example, I'm gonna run this for two weeks in that geographic location, which will be a great test because it's gonna allow us to stay top of mind and relevant in our target audiences minds. Okay, so now that that's done, X out of here and we can hop into the Ad level . Wanna gonna go through and edit the ad that we're setting up. We've got our Facebook page for Paul's Restaurant selected here. Then you also wanna select the relevant Instagram accounts.

So we'll go through and select Paul's Restaurant. There's this new feature here we can customize the Ad Voice. So you can customize it, whether it's coming from say your big page or whether your local, it's your local page. So I'm gonna choose the main page as the Ad Voice and go through and set up our ad, which is super simple single image or video.

Then wanna go through and go add media.

How to Run Facebook Ads for Local Businesses: Driving Foot Traffic

Add image. Upload an image which I prepared earlier. Now we have the beautiful image of this entree. Okay so here's some creative and copy I prepared earlier, "Enjoy any of our award winning entrees for free when you dine with us between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday nights. Simply mention this Facebook post to your server to claim." Now one of the biggest challenges a lot of my local business clients face, is tracking real life conversions from a digital spend. Because there's no pixel in real life, it's really hard to work out which ad led to which conversion.

So one way you can do it, is just going super old school, super analog. And this call to action here, "Simply mention this Facebook post to your server to claim." And then getting your actual service at the restaurant in real life to note down, "Cool, tonight we had five people mention the Facebook ad." The conversion rate for that would be five conversions as a result of the ad spend for that night.

When you've got your Facebook local pages set up, you can actually choose the Facebook Location street address and the location city from the back end of Facebook, which is dynamically populated. Now here comes the fun stuff. What I want to happen when people see this offer in their News Feed is, click "Get Directions" in the ad, directing them from their current physical location through to the restaurant itself. All you need to do, is click Open in map as your destination.

And because you've already pre-populated all of your local business information with Facebook Ads Manager in the back end, it's gonna automatically populate your address inside of the ad. Okay, so here we have the final ad with a get directions call to action button. We wanna just double check that the Facebook Pixel is on. And then it's just as simple as going ahead and pressing the green Publish button, and seeing how your first test works at a low daily budget of $5.

Now that we've published the ad, the last thing we wanna do, is just double check that everything is correct.

So I've just hopped back into the ad set level and realized that I left the name of the ad set at "People within five miles." Obviously, we chose to make it one mile only, so I'm just gonna go through and change that ad set name to "Within my one mile." Double check that the ad looks the way that you want it to look. If you wanna see what it looks like in the Facebook feed, click this button here. Go to Facebook Post with Comments, and this is what it looks like, the completed ad.

And you'll see how this bit here has been dynamically populated with the address locations.

And then obviously, you wanna make sure that the directions are working correctly, and you can do that by clicking Get Directions, which will fire up a map in your browser and double check that that is actually leading people to the correct store. Cause the last thing you wanna do, is spend all this money on ads and then direct them to the wrong location. Alright? Double and triple checking your work is very, very important before you go ahead.

And finally go back into Ads Manager, and activate the campaign. Now you think that we're done but let me tell you fam, we've got some more exciting stuff in store. Let's say that you run this ad for like two weeks. You're getting really decent impression, really decent reach, but the ads just aren't converting. It might be because your location mapping is off.

What we can do is actually exclude areas from our targeting inside of the Ad Set so that we have more of relevant targeted audience area when we're running our ads.

Oh, it's so fun. Let's do it. We go back into our Ad Set area and we click on the Edit button. And now we wanna go down to the locations that we're targeting.

This is actually a shopping center, right? So what you wanna do is zoom in. Now, this is the actual shopping center. So let's say that we only want to target the people that are actually physically inside this shopping center and this store's location.

But how do we do that, when the maximum radius that we can tie it is one mile?

Well, we use these exclusion pins. So we drop a pin. Drop it anywhere in the map. What you wanna do, is drop it say, here. That's gone through and added a pin at this latitude and longitude.

I'm gonna decrease the pin size to one mile, like this. And then, we want to click this drop down button here, and go Exclude Location. So now that you can see this red radius area, and you can see this Venn diagram here.

It's excluding this audience from being targeted. And then all we have to do, is simply go rinse and repeat.

Okay, so here is the finished results. You can notice that as I zoom in, all of these areas around the outside are excluded and we're only targeting that nice little blue Venn diagram area in the middle. Now, you'll also notice that the potential reach has gone from about 27,000 people, down to 12,000 people. If you have a really highly populated area, this is fantastic. However, if it's less densely populated, this may not be the best strategy for you.

So the other really cool thing about this strategy is that you can use it to target your audiences wherever they may be at a certain point in time. So think about events. Let's say, there's a baseball game going on next weekend, and your bar that's located close to where the baseball game is. You can run ads promoting, say, "Postgame happy hour to everyone attending that baseball game in that geographic location." In an effort to drive more foot traffic and awareness of your bar to a relevant audience that's ready to drink.

Okay, now that we've successfully completed our Facebook local ads set up, we might wanna learn how to target them to Instagram story ads. My colleague Susan has the perfect tutorial for you, which I recommend checking out right now..

How to Exclude Traffic from Facebook Ads Pixel

How to Exclude Traffic from Facebook Ads Pixel

In this video, I'm going to show you how you can exclude yourself from your Facebook Ads. All and more coming up. Hey there, welcome back to another video of measureschool.com teaching you the data-driven way of digital marketing. My name is Julian.

And today we want to talk about how you can exclude yourself or your team or whoever is working on your Facebook Ads from your Facebook Ads, so they can click on them and can pollute your data.

Now, you might be familiar with a feature in Google Analytics, where you can filter out certain traffic from IP addresses, for example, that you don't want to have included in a data set. Unfortunately, on Facebook Ads, we don't have such a filter functionality. And therefore, we need to find a workaround. And one of the methods I want to show you today is actually using custom audiences to exclude yourself or your team around you from your Facebook Ads.

And how to do this is what we're gonna discover in this video. Let's dive in. All right here in our demo shop, we have the Facebook Pixel installed on this website sitewide on every page. Now, we have probably already built some custom audiences from people who have been identified by the pixel, you can look at your custom audiences on the Asset Library right here on the audience's you'll see all the audience's that you have built from the Facebook Pixel or an upload of email address so lookalike audiences.

Now, what we want to do is actually utilize this to build a new custom audience.

So if you click your own custom audience will be greeted with these different methods. And we'll go with the website traffic method. And here we can choose, we want to include people who meet any of the following criteria. And what do we choose here? Well, we want to be very specific who we are including in this custom audience because we only want to include people who are actually from our team or ourselves.

Since the Facebook Pixel mainly tracks the page view and URL up here, we could just go ahead and make up a URL like a slash internal, you could call it whatever you want, really. But the Facebook Pixel needs to be installed on this page. So we have that Facebook Pixel installed on our page.

And it's an internal page, it's nowhere linked up on the page itself. But all our employees or contractors ourselves know about this page and know about exactly this URL.

So once we visit this URL, we obviously get pixels, and should now be in the system of Facebook. Now, we can utilize this to actually exclude ourselves from our ads. How do we do this here in the custom audience builder, we can include all website visitors with event page view, and refined this by the URL, where the URL contains internal. Now, this is valid for 30 days, we can go to a maximum of 180 days, let's do that. And that's basically already it, you can now call this whatever we want, for example, internal traffic, and simply create the audience.

Now, this will take a little while to populate. But since this URL is only known to us internal people, and you would send that link, obviously an email to your colleagues or whomever you want to exclude for them to visit that URL, and then get automatically added to that custom audience.

How to Exclude Traffic from Facebook Ads Pixel

If you want to have this a little bit more sophisticated. So people don't actually notice that they have been excluded. If you don't particularly feel telling everybody about that they are being excluded.

You could also place this pixel on a frequently visited website by your internal team members. For example, on a WordPress shop, that would maybe be the PHP login page here. So before they login, that would be pixels. Be aware that you need to have the Facebook Pixel installed on this page, this would not be the case on a normal WordPress page. Because these pages are excluded from any kind of templating that's going on in WordPress itself.

But I'm sure you'll be able to figure this out with the help of your developer. If this is something you would like to do. Obviously, we could also push this into the data layer so if the users logged in, and here's an internal member, you could fire a specialized pixel based on that. But again, it gets really complicated, you can always go sophisticated. The easiest way would really be just make up a URL that only you and your team members know about and fire your Facebook Pixel normally on this page, then you can use your custom audience feature to build such an audience.

And this is the populating. But nonetheless, I can show you the last step, which would be when you use this in your ads. So you're creating an ad, then at some point, you obviously get to the point where you can choose the audience that you want to target that's normally done in the Ad set portion. So for example, here, let's just edit this. And this is where you can choose your audiences.

And you can choose to exclude an audience from the ads that you want to show in this ad set. And here is where you can choose your internal website traffic or your team members from your custom audiences that you have identified with this pixel.

Enhance false, your users who have been identified in this custom audience won't be seeing your ads any longer. So this is really the fastest and easiest method that I know of. You could also build a custom audience with an upload of email addresses of your team, for example, from a CSV file like this one, if they're not too many, and you know their Facebook email addresses.

That certainly one way to go, or you could always go more sophisticated and block the firing of the Facebook Pixel as well, but that wouldn't be retroactive. So once your user is identified through this method, he might be already in the system and sees your ads. So coming up with an internal website that or hidden website that only you and your team know of is an easy method to exclude yourself from your Facebook Ads.

All right, so there you have it. This is how you can exclude yourself and your team from your Facebook Ads.

Now, the obvious downside for this is that the data still goes into the data set. So Facebook analytics, for example, wouldn't be affected by this change. But it's an effective way to easily exclude yourself and your team and the people who are working on your Facebook Ads from actually seeing those ads and clicking on that then skewing the data in Facebook Ads itself. Now if you have any more questions or any other methods that you use to exclude yourself from your Facebook Ads, I'd love to hear from you in the comments below. And don't forget to subscribe to our channel right over there.

Because we bring you new videos just like this one every week. Now my name is Julian. Til next time.
